Our Team

Ran Fredell is a principal investor of CD Healthcare Infrastructure Partners (CDHIP). She joins CD Healthcare Infrastructure Manager LLC, the Manager of CDHIP, in an acting CFO role with 14 years of tax leadership experience at public and private companies, focusing on the real estate investment industry.

Ran started her tax career at Deloitte. Before CDHIP, she was the senior VP and Head of Global Tax at Imperial Capital, a full-service investment bank. Before that, Ran was the Tax Director at Colony Capital, a global real estate investment manager with 14 active REITs and over 20 private equity funds under management.

Ran has successfully built three tax departments from the ground up, including the tax departments at Imperial Capital and Colony Capital. Ran has also led the investor reporting function (both accounting and tax) at Imperial Capital. Besides managing day-to-day functions, Ran specializes in investment structuring, M&A, and business tax planning.

Ran has worked extensively with Clare Duan, CDHIP’s Founder and CEO, during her tenure at Colony Capital and since the inception of CDHIP.

Ran is a CPA. Before she entered the tax world, she was a full-time college math and statistics instructor for five years. Ran received her MS in Taxation from San Diego State University and MS in Statistics from the University of Texas at El Paso.
